Our family friendly treasure hunt, Tricky Trail, returns for 2023. Enjoy a frightfully fun family day out and get ready to experience some spooky story telling, eccentric experiments, spell casting and magical performances. There may even be a few frights in store…
Pick up your Tricky Trail map before you embark on a terrific treasure hunt. Collect every lost item along the way, prepare to meet an array of wildly interesting characters and take part in some spooky fun and games…
Find every hidden treasure as you go and there may even be a trick or treat waiting for you at the end of the trail 🎃

Grab your Tricky Trail map and begin your trail at the ghastly Ghoulish Graveyard. Find your first treasure here and watch out for some friendly ghouls as you go!

Professor Oswald Cranium is as much of a genius as he is mad! Find the next treasure along your trail in his laboratory but be prepared for some of Oswald's eccentric experiments.
Freaky Forest🧙♀️
Step through the freakiest of forests, topped with a colourful array of wicked witches hats. Meet some of our cool characters along the way to your next treasure and don't forget to snap a photo when you pass.
Scarecrow's Barn✨
Stop by the sleepy Scarecrow's Barn for tons of tricks and games with our resident Scarecrow.. Be careful not to wake him up or a fun fright may await!
Vampire's Castle🧛♂️
Let's get spooky! Have fang-tastic fun as you meet the legendary Dracula in his castle. But be warned… he might bite!

When is Tricky Trail on?
Tricky Trail will run on October 21st, 22nd, 28th – 1st November between 11:00 – 16:00.

What attractions are included in the Tricky Trail?
Our Junior Zone and Adventure Zone attractions will be open during Tricky Trail. Please be aware some of our attractions are seasonal, you can view a full list of open attractions here.
All rides will operate weather permitting and may close in heavy rain or adverse conditions.
All attractions are subject to height and weight requirements, further information can be found on individual attraction pages.

What ages is the event suitable for?
We recommend ages 3-12 most suitable for Tricky Trail, however, there is plenty of fun and exploring to be enjoyed by all ages of the whole family at the park and at the event.

How much is the Tricky Trail?
Admission to the Tricky Trail is of no additional charge to a park entry ticket. Any day entry tickets purchased for the below dates will include free access to the event. Remember to book all Emerald Park tickets in advance online.

Do I need to book the Tricky Trail event online?
No, all day tickets purchased for October 21st, 22nd, and 28th – 1st of November grant free entry to Tricky Trail. No additional booking is required. However, please book all Emerald Park entry tickets in advance online.

Can you use pre-purchased tickets to book the event?
Yes pre-paid tickets can be used against your ticket entry. Specifically tickets with the reference “TA / TW / TL / TWL” can be used.

Are tickets refundable?
While tickets are non-refundable, date changes will be facilitated where possible, subject to availability. However we recommend checking whether the Tricky Trail event will be running on your newly selected dates.
