Electrical Maintenance Technician

Electrical Maintenance Technician Role:

This role will be full time position including seasonal shift work which will involve working onsite as part of a well-established maintenance team

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the execution of preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Providing maintenance support, entering data, updating equipment records, and participating in continuous improvement follow up
  • Electrical and Mechanical trouble-shooting
  • Closely monitor machine performance and intervene as any deterioration in performance occurs
  • As part of the Electrical/Fitter Maintenance team, work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
  • Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies
  • Update the maintenance management system (AUXEL), records of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out
  • Troubleshooting using PLC Programs
  • Responsible for completion of your planned work, shifts daily input of all works onto AUXEL, parts booked out of stores and control of breakdowns
  • Ensure Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible.
  • Observing all onsite and legislative rules and regulations in terms of Health and Safety.

Qualifications and Skills

  • You must be qualified to QQI level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – mechanical automation and maintenance fitting or other appropriate engineering qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing/plant environment
  • Multi-skilled / cross-skilled ethos
  • Experienced in fault finding and problem solving
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation and PLC control systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
