Electrical Maintenance Technician

Electrical Maintenance Technician Role:

This role will be full time position including seasonal shift work which will involve working onsite as part of a well-established maintenance team

Carry out the execution of preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
Providing maintenance support, entering data, updating equipment records, and participating in continuous improvement follow up
Electrical and Mechanical trouble-shooting
Closely monitor machine performance and intervene as any deterioration in performance occurs
As part of the Electrical/Fitter Maintenance team, work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies
Update the maintenance management system (AUXEL), records of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out
Troubleshooting using PLC Programs
Responsible for completion of your planned work, shifts daily input of all works onto AUXEL, parts booked out of stores and control of breakdowns
Ensure Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible.
Observing all onsite and legislative rules and regulations in terms of Health and Safety.

You must be qualified to QQI level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – mechanical automation and maintenance fitting or other appropriate engineering qualification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing/plant environment
Multi-skilled / cross-skilled ethos
Experienced in fault finding and problem solving
Comprehensive Knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation and PLC control systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
