Inventory Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Inventory Manager to join our team. The Inventory Manager will be part of the Operations Team and liaise with other departments as necessary. Core responsibilities include vendor management, collating/analysing data pertaining to stock activities, co-ordinating the purchase order goods receipts process, and control through routine audits on the ERP & EPOS systems to ensure the processes are effective.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Hours: Emerald Park is a 7-day week operation so the role will require flexible working hours.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Keep inventory system updated with any new products.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate for projected sales levels on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all retail and food & beverage outlets are adequately stocked at all times.
  • Liaise with finance department to ensure all purchase orders/invoices/delivery dockets are delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Develop stock knowledge in all aspects of Emerald Park’s procurement categories to include raw & finished materials, packaging, retail/private label merchandise/products, consumables, equipment & facilities.
  • Liaise regularly with vendors, maintaining good professional relationships, reducing the potential for disruptions to the supply chain & ensuring first time full material availability in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Oversee systems that ensure accurate entry of all goods-in, returns, inter-branch transfers and other stock movements. Production of slow-moving stock reports & monitor BBD. Governance of waste records.
  • Co-ordinate inbound logistics operations and introduce process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of stock control to ensure lean & robust processes, budget control and adequate storage locations.
  • Communicate daily with Vendors, HODs, Finance and Warehouse Teams on general stock queries.
  • Co-ordinate the stock taking procedures monthly & relevant reports. Point of contact for stock related periodic & annual external auditors.

Essential criteria

  • 5+ years proven track record in supply chain management.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team in a fast moving environment.
  • Ability to work across teams providing guidance and direction in regard to all areas of stock management.
  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a visitor attraction or similar venue.
  • Experience working with wholesale & distribution-based sales businesses.
  • Valid Forklift Licence.
