Emerald Park currently have a position for an Apprentice MAMF to join our progressive team. On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in MAMF award by Solas. You will earn a salary while you learn, get a formal contract of employment, and gain a recognised qualification.

8/12-hour shift over 7-day rosters   

Full time, permanent   

What the programme looks like:

  • 4-year structured programme of on-the-job experience and off the job in college
  • Based in a hospitality environment learning about different areas of the operation
  • Experience of working within a unique environment
  • A framework of professional training modules
  • Regular performance feedback and personal development planning
  • Apprentice rates will apply

Key tasks / responsibilities will include:

  • Work with a daily preventative maintenance system on one-of-a-kind attractions
  • Mechanical, hydraulic, electric, pumps, valves, and roller coasters
  • Work with a variety of tools such as, grinders, welding plants, hand tools etc.
  • Install, service, maintain, and rectify faults of attraction equipment.
  • Dismantle, repair, or make and fit new parts when performing maintenance
  • Monitor conditions using modern maintenance techniques.
  • Help in the maintenance of a safe company culture by always complying with the company’s health and safety guidelines while reporting any equipment or process issues to line manager.
  • Additional duties as required.

Entry requirements:

  • Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent.
